This release introduces the new Boomerang high-framerate capture mode, a guest disclaimer feature, and several reliability improvements to sharing, GIF saving, and overall stability.
Boomerang & Animated Captures
- Added a new Boomerang (1s High Framerate) option that captures a one-second burst and generates a smooth looping animation played forwards then backwards
- Improved playback quality of Boomerang animations by rendering from the high-quality video file instead of the compressed GIF
- Resolved an issue where GIFs were no longer being saved after the previous release
- Fixed a crash that could occur when navigating back during a Boomerang capture session
- Resolved high memory usage when browsing Boomerang animations in the gallery, which could cause sluggish performance
- Fixed an issue where GIF overlay frames were not being saved correctly
Sharing & Delivery
- Resolved an issue where Boomerangs could be uploaded to the cloud twice when sharing via SMS immediately after a session ended
- Fixed an issue where Boomerangs were not appearing in the browse view and could not be shared via SMS or email
- Improved reliability of SMS sharing, which could get stuck in a pending state and never deliver
- Fixed an issue preventing email shares from being sent successfully
Guest Experience
- Added a configurable Disclaimer screen that appears after photos are captured and before the sharing screen — guests who decline will have their photos removed and be returned to the start screen
- Added a setting to show or hide the Browse button on the start screen (enabled by default)
Green Screen
- Fixed scrolling through green screen backgrounds when more than four background images are loaded
Camera & Live View
- Resolved an inconsistency where the live view during countdown appeared zoomed out compared to the final captured photo
Analytics
- Theme usage is now reported to Firebase Analytics so operators can see which themes are most popular at their events
Stability
- Fixed a crash in the photo sharing service that could occur during upload
- Fixed a crash that could occur while saving photos to the camera roll
- Replaced a deprecated system alert component to improve compatibility with current iOS versions
