This release brings full iPhone support, significant improvements to the 360/Boomerang experience, and a wide range of fixes to keep your photo booth running smoothly at every event.
iPhone Support
- Added support for running LumaBooth on iPhone devices, making it easier to use with 360 booths and compact setups
- Optimized all guest-facing screens for iPhone portrait orientation, including proper layout around the notch area
- Improved settings screens to display correctly in both portrait and landscape modes on iPhone
- Adjusted button sizes, sliders, and touch targets throughout the app for easier use on smaller iPhone screens
360 & Boomerang
- Improved motion detection reliability for 360 booths, reducing accidental triggers when stepping onto the platform and improving detection when the iPad begins spinning
- Increased video quality for 360 and Boomerang sessions, resulting in sharper, less pixelated output
- Renamed "Boomerang Mode" to "Boomerang/360" throughout the app for clearer identification
- Resolved an issue where visual effects were being applied twice during Boomerang and video sessions, causing unintended over-darkening
Sharing
- Fixed an issue where the sharing screen was inaccessible after a session, appearing with a grey overlay and no visible buttons
- Improved the email and social sharing pop-up so it stays fully visible when the keyboard is open
- Added a clear error message when a video is too large to share to Twitter, instead of showing a generic failure notice
- Added the ability to export sharing status data to a CSV file for easier post-event reporting
Survey & Data Export
- Fixed an issue where survey results displayed in the wrong column order, causing answers to appear under incorrect questions
- Improved CSV export so survey responses are sorted consistently and columns align correctly across all exports
Virtual Attendant
- Improved audio file support for the Virtual Attendant, ensuring both MP3 and M4A audio prompts import and play correctly during sessions
- Fixed an issue where the selected Start Screen Animation name would not appear in settings for certain files
Welcome Screen & Settings

- Updated the guest print count selector to show only even numbers when "Print 2 Per Page" is enabled, reflecting the actual number of sheets printed
Stability & Display
- Resolved a crash that could occur when switching camera settings during a Boomerang session
- Fixed display issues introduced in iOS 15 with dark mode, where certain screens appeared incorrectly darkened
- Fixed a permissions error that prevented some users from starting a session even when all required permissions were granted — users on restricted devices are now guided to disable Screen Time if needed
- Fixed UI layout issues across various settings screens on iPad following the introduction of iPhone support
