This release brings a major new Animated Video Overlays feature to LumaBooth, along with meaningful improvements to sharing reliability, media quality, and overall stability.

Animated Video Overlays

• Added support for animated video overlays that can be applied on top of Boomerang sessions, with built-in options including bokeh, hearts, sparkle, and stars
• Added the ability to add multiple video overlays and rotate through them across sessions
• Improved overlay thumbnails so built-in overlays display a representative, visible preview frame instead of a nearly black image
• Resolved an issue where adding multiple custom overlays would show duplicate or incorrect thumbnails
• Resolved an issue where the first overlay added in a session would not appear until a second overlay was selected
• Resolved an issue where animated overlays would stop looping after the first playback cycle
• Fixed an issue where the color picker blocked the preview area, making it difficult to choose overlay colors
• Updated the video overlay configuration screen with larger text, bigger buttons, and improved layout across both iPhone and iPad
• Added a help link on the video overlay screen pointing to the support article

Media Quality & Playback

• Added a video quality slider so you can choose between higher quality and smaller file sizes based on your event needs
• Resolved an issue where the soundtrack would unexpectedly restart partway through a video that was longer than the audio clip
• Fixed an issue where video thumbnails would display a frame from the pre-roll recording instead of the actual session recording
• Fixed an issue where a previously playing test video would briefly appear after selecting a new test video
• Resolved an issue where test videos recorded on iPhone 13 could not be selected in the file picker

Multiple Soundtracks & Image Overlays

• Added support for multiple soundtracks and image overlays that rotate across sessions, giving each guest a fresh experience throughout the event
• Resolved an issue where image overlay thumbnails had inconsistent backgrounds; all overlay thumbnails now use a consistent black background

Sharing & Email

• Resolved an issue where SMS shares could be sent twice when the device was offline during an event and shares were queued for later delivery
• Fixed an issue where photos from simultaneous events could display incorrect thumbnails in the online gallery
• Added validation for email addresses to prevent failed sends caused by invalid or non-ASCII characters
• Fixed an issue where thumbnails for Boomerang and GIF sessions would appear grey in the gallery even though the media itself was intact
• Improved the sharing status screen on iPhone with clearer, tappable labels for Email, SMS, and other share types
• Resolved an issue where video and photo thumbnails that failed to upload during a service interruption were not retried correctly

Event Management & Setup

• Resolved an issue where creating a new event would fail with a "Something went wrong" error
• Fixed an issue where soundtracks and overlays would not download correctly after a fresh app installation
• Added print copy limit options of 15, 25, 50, and 100 to give you more control over guest print quantities
• Resolved an issue where horizontal backgrounds appeared squished when using an iPad in vertical orientation with horizontal photo placeholders
• Fixed an issue where an image overlay could become stuck and could not be deleted or synced to a device

Stability

• Resolved a crash that occurred when tapping Cancel in the Files app while in GIF capture settings
• Resolved an issue where Boomerang sessions would fail to process video in certain recording configurations
• Fixed an issue where the asset downloader showed an invalid asset type error for Boomerang video overlays
