This release introduces full Mac Catalyst support, adds camera orientation control for vertical photo and video sessions, and delivers a wide range of stability and usability improvements across both iOS and Mac.
Mac Support
- Added full support for running LumaBooth as a native Mac application, with a properly adapted interface across all screens
- Improved the main menu layout on Mac so items are evenly and neatly positioned rather than spread too far apart
- Resolved an issue where UI elements and menus were misplaced when using non-English languages on Mac
- Fixed the progress ring being clipped after a Boomerang session on Mac
- Fixed the progress ring not being centered vertically on Mac
- Resolved an issue where the camera preview was zoomed in on the home screen on Mac
- Improved the camera status display on Mac so that devices without a built-in camera (such as Mac Mini) show a clear "No camera connected" message rather than an incorrect camera name
- Fixed permission settings dialogs on Mac so they open correctly and prompt the user to grant necessary access
- Added support for Canon and Nikon DSLR cameras on Intel-based Macs
Camera & Capture
- Added a Camera Orientation setting (0°, 90°, 180°, 270°) so photographers using an external camera can shoot vertical photos and videos without physically rotating their device
- Resolved an issue where the final photo could appear zoomed in on 9th-generation iPads using the front wide-angle camera
- Improved front camera capture resolution on iPad 9 so photos are captured at full quality
- Fixed an issue where DSLR camera photos were not always included in the final print image when the camera used multiple memory cards or a secondary card slot
- Fixed an issue where switching from video recording back to photo mode on certain Canon cameras (1300D, M50 II) could produce a black image
- Improved live view stability during DSLR sessions to prevent frozen video during recording
- Fixed an issue where the "Take Test Photo" button did nothing when accessed from the Effects menu after launch
Green Screen & Background Removal
- Fixed a crash that occurred when using the color picker in Green Screen settings
- Resolved an issue where the AI Background Removal live view appeared stretched when no background image was selected
- Fixed the live view not appearing in Background Removal settings when the home screen preview was disabled at launch
- Improved the Green Screen settings preview to show the full frame without cropping when using a vertically oriented camera
Effects & Overlays
- Fixed an issue where the last effect chosen by a guest would carry over to the welcome screen instead of showing no effect
- Fixed incorrect photo rotation on the effect selection screen after a multi-photo session
- Added support for overlays with swapped width and height dimensions, making it easier to set up events with a camera in a different orientation than the device
Sharing & Printing
- Fixed an issue where WhatsApp sharing did not send the full message when it contained special characters
- Resolved an issue where the printer selection dialog would not open when connected to an AirPrint device that had since become unavailable
- Fixed the upload progress bar on the sharing screen resetting repeatedly with each individual file upload
- Fixed an issue where the print button could become permanently disabled, requiring an app reinstall to restore
Boomerang
- Fixed a crash that occurred when adding a before-recording video to a Boomerang session
- Improved the Boomerang recording indicator: reduced in size, repositioned to the bottom of the screen, and updated to show only the outer ring
Stability & Performance
- Resolved a crash in the dropdown menu that could occur under certain conditions
- Fixed an app hang at launch when the home screen live preview was enabled
- Fixed an issue where the app could freeze during photo session processing
- Fixed an issue where a locale-related crash could occur due to date formatting with certain regional settings
- Resolved an issue where a device subscription watermark remained visible on screen after navigating away from the subscription management screen
Camera Status & Usability
- Added the connected camera name to the main menu so you can always see which camera is active at a glance
- Tapping the camera name in the menu now opens Camera Settings directly
- Fixed an issue where the camera orientation setting could reset to 0° after restarting the app
- Improved DSLR error messaging so that shooting in RAW-only mode shows a clear, actionable message instead of a misleading focus error
- Camera names are now always logged in English regardless of the device's language setting
Account & Settings
- Added a "Delete Account" link under Settings > Account, as required for App Store compliance
Miscellaneous
- Fixed a typo in Print Setup where "Alignment" was misspelled as "Allignment"
