This release delivers major new GoPro capabilities, a redesigned navigation bar with real-time sync status, improved cloud sharing reliability, and a range of stability and usability fixes for everyday photo booth sessions.
GoPro Support
- Added support for connecting GoPro cameras via USB, with a new step-by-step connection wizard to guide you through both wired and wireless setup
- Added support for GoPro Hero 12, joining the existing lineup of supported GoPro models
- Improved the GoPro connection experience with a clearer wizard that explains the pros and cons of wired vs. wireless connection
Event Sharing & Online Albums
- Added a new link-sharing button in the navigation bar so booth owners can instantly copy and share a link to their online event album
- Added a Manage Online Album shortcut in the link-sharing panel to jump directly to the event admin page on fotoshare.co
- Resolved an issue where duplicate photos or videos were uploaded to fotoshare.co when the booth was offline during an event and reconnected later
- Resolved an issue where the sharing queue would stop processing after running sessions while offline
Navigation Bar
- Redesigned the top navigation bar with new camera, shares, and synchronization buttons, each showing live badge counts so you always know what's pending
- The synchronization badge now displays a warning indicator when attention is needed, and hides when there is nothing to sync
Synchronization & Cloud
- Resolved an issue where synchronization could go offline on computers with more than one Wi-Fi adapter after running a GoPro session
- Added automatic detection of incorrect system date and time, with a clear warning in the sync panel and a link to a support article when this is causing sync failures
- Resolved an issue where templates, assets, or events could fail to synchronize when a cloud record already existed but the local database hadn't been updated
Video Support
- Improved support for vertical videos so that rotation metadata is respected during both live view and in the final output, eliminating the squished appearance
- Added support for vertical videos that do not include rotation metadata, honoring the video orientation setting for older Canon and Nikon cameras and for dragged-and-dropped files
- Fixed thumbnail generation for vertical videos so they display upright in the capture screen instead of appearing cropped or squished
- Fixed an issue where vertical Boomerang sessions with Crop Live View enabled showed black bars on the sides during the countdown and recording
- Fixed Lamabot's bottom four moves so they play at normal speed when recorded with a high-frame-rate Sony camera
Printing
- Resolved an issue on Windows 11 where printer settings reverted to defaults after being saved, by switching to the legacy print dialog which preserves custom settings
Touch & Input
- Resolved an issue where buttons (such as Print and SMS keypad) required two taps on touch screens instead of one
- Removed the requirement to tap OK eleven times when attempting to delete a virtual attendant asset that is in use — the confirmation now dismisses with a single tap
- Removed the third-party on-screen keyboard in favor of the built-in Windows 10/11 keyboard
Camera & Live View
- Fixed an issue where live view would not start after unlocking the lock screen with a PIN code
- Added a warning message at startup when Windows Media Player is not installed, with guidance on how to re-enable it (required for video playback, including Virtual Attendant)
Session & Workflow
- Fixed an issue where the Retake Photo feature would return to the start screen instead of the individual photo when Virtual Attendant was enabled
- Added the option to skip the sharing screen entirely for session types that don't need it (such as 360 and Lamabot), configurable in Screen Editor under Sharing Screen
- Increased the post-processing timeout from 30 to 60 seconds to better support external AI and image-processing tools
- Improved event name validation to prevent folder creation failures caused by names containing multiple dots
Settings & UI
- Green screen settings are now grayed out when green screen is turned off, making it clear when the feature is inactive
- Added an X button to clear the real-time export directory path
- Added 5:4 aspect ratio (1280×1024) to the Screen Editor aspect ratio options
- Fixed the input focus so the email field is automatically selected when opening the sign-in screen
- Removed Facebook sharing, which relied on a deprecated browser interface that was causing login failures
File Management
- Simplified captured file names by removing dashes from the date portion of the filename
