This release brings a major reliability upgrade by migrating the internal database to SQLite, introduces a built-in SMS messaging service, improves Canon and Sony camera stability, and resolves dozens of issues across sharing, screen editing, event management, and touch-screen interaction.

Messaging & Sharing

• Added a built-in SMS messaging service as an alternative to Twilio — send unlimited messages to US & Canada guests with a subscription add-on, with competitive international rates and no carrier applications required
• Guests can now press ENTER on their keyboard to send an SMS, WhatsApp message, or email without needing to tap the Send button
• Fixed an issue where SMS messages failed to send in countries that use a leading zero for local phone numbers, such as France and South Africa
• Resolved an issue where the app would retry SMS delivery indefinitely when no messaging subscription was active; a clear error message is now shown instead
• Added a 60-second delay before retrying SMS messages when the balance is insufficient, reducing unnecessary server requests
• Fixed incorrect status being shown in Sharing Status for successfully queued SMS messages
• Added a Refill Balance button directly in Sharing Status to make it easy to top up SMS credits
• SMS messages to numbers with restricted carrier permissions (Twilio error 21408) no longer generate retry attempts
• Improved the Sharing Status screen with file sizes, a View button for uploaded items, and cleaner column layout
• Fixed inaccurate print counts in Sharing Status when multiple copies were printed per session
• Email messages are now wrapped in proper HTML tags to improve deliverability and reduce spam filtering
• Fixed the WhatsApp sharing button not responding when a custom button image was configured
• Share tracking now uses the updated fotoShare API for improved security and reliability

Camera Support

• Resolved a crash that occurred when running a Boomerang session followed by a video session with Canon cameras (including the R50 and R6 Mark II)
• Added support for additional Sony camera models including the ZV-E10 II and DSC-RX100M7, with improved property parsing and error handling
• Added support for GoPro Hero 13
• Resolved an issue where exporting an event would disconnect the camera and require a software restart to reconnect

Video & Media

• Added 1080×1080 (square) as a selectable resolution in Video/360 capture settings
• Fixed an issue where adding an image overlay to a drag-and-dropped video failed when camera rotation was set to 0 degrees
• Fixed incorrect overlay size recommendations when camera rotation is set to 90° or 270°; width and height values are now shown correctly for the rotated orientation

Screen Editor & Print Layout

• Fixed text elements not appearing visually selected after being placed or edited for the first time in the Screen Editor
• Fixed the color picker not responding correctly to touch input in both the Screen Editor and Print Layout
• Fixed the layer visibility toggle in Print Layout not staying turned off after saving

Surveys & Guest Interaction

• Added horizontal text alignment options (left, center, right) for survey answer text
• Fixed a scrollbar appearing unnecessarily in the Survey Multiple Choice settings panel
• Improved the ability to reposition the text cursor using touch when entering an email address on the sharing screen
• Enlarged the SMS phone number entry field to accommodate longer international numbers such as UK mobile numbers

Stability & Bug Fixes

• Fixed a crash that occurred when using Booth Copilot to navigate in and out of Camera Settings
• Resolved a freeze that could occur on the filter selection screen during certain photo sessions
• Fixed the subscription expired dialog appearing behind the splash screen instead of in front of it at startup
• Fixed an issue where retaking a photo session prevented the original print file from being deleted while it was still uploading
• Resolved an issue where the Browse Gallery button disappeared from the welcome screen after using the Retake feature
• Fixed the Sign In window appearing hidden behind the splash screen when credentials were not available
• Fixed the GIF countdown incorrectly flashing the first-photo countdown arc before displaying the arc for subsequent photos
• Fixed a database error that prevented accurate print counts from being retrieved
• Fixed the display refresh rate warning modal appearing with incorrect sizing
• Fixed desktop shortcuts not pointing to the correct dslrBooth executable

LumaShare Integration

• Fixed timestamps in the LumaShare media list so that filtering by session date works correctly on both iOS and Android
• Fixed an issue where dslrBooth appeared and immediately disappeared from the LumaShare device list on Android

Background Removal

• Improved touch responsiveness when resizing background images in AI Background Removal and Green Screen settings

Performance & Infrastructure

• Migrated the internal database from the legacy SQL CE format to SQLite, improving startup performance, long-term stability, and compatibility
• dslrBooth now automatically pauses Windows Update when it starts, preventing mid-event system interruptions
• Configured dslrBooth to prefer the high-performance discrete GPU on computers with both integrated and dedicated graphics cards
• Corrected a French translation error in "Sharing Settings"
• Updated the End User License Agreement link to always point to the latest version at dslrbooth.com/eula
